Accommodation in the Ferguson Valley

With an abundance of wineries, cafes, restaurants and boutique accommodation, the Ferguson Valley is an excellent place to visit for a weekend getaway or a holiday. This beautiful region is surrounded by awe-inspiring landscapes, with many of the areas wineries and accommodation overlooking water or forest.

The Valley is home to several award-winning wineries including Talisman Wines, Saint Aidan Wines and Green Door Wines, which produces a range of Spanish and Italian varieties. Its cellar doors are a must and it also has a restaurant, serving its own charcuterie, pizzas and cheese platters. The wines are preservative free and very tasty, with a James Halliday rating of 95/100.

A great way to see the best of the Geographe wine regionĀ Ferguson Valley Accommodation is to drive down Henty Road, the scenic route that connects the towns of Donnybrook and Balingup. The views are stunning and a number of wineries offer cellar door tastings.

If you’re a fan of cider and beer, you can also find the Wild Bull Brewery and Bush Shack Brewery in the area. These artisan breweries produce a range of flavoursome beverages and are ideal for a relaxing lunch with friends.

There are plenty of places to stay in the Ferguson Valley including farm stays, cottages and camping, allowing you to experience the region in an intimate and relaxed manner. Some options are rammed earth farmhouses, while others offer a luxurious retreat in a private setting.

We’ve stayed at a couple of the options in the valley and would highly recommend them. Evedon Lakeside Retreat, Peppermint Lane Lodge and Wellington Forest Cottages are all family friendly farmstays in the Ferguson Valley that offer a great chance to explore the countryside.

For a more luxurious escape, consider staying at Peppermint Lane Lodge which is a B&B country retreat with four private contemporary studios. Set in native bushland and overlooking a picturesque lake, it is perfect for couples or families wanting to get away from it all.

Located in Wellington Mills, this bed and breakfast is the ultimate weekend break for couples or girls! You’ll find a peaceful country setting, lovely gardens and an ever changing simple outdoor sculpture trail.

The accommodation is comfortable and ambient, the kitchen is well equipped with all cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. The bathrooms are spacious and clean and the rooms have great views over the surrounding woodlands and bushland.

There are also some great options for a weekend escape in the area, with Apple Park Australia’s largest FREE entry fun park offering a range of play equipment for kids of all ages.
